I WAS AWAY ON BUSINESS WHEN THE COMPUTORS WERE DELIVERED BY OUR SCHOOL TRUCK DRIVER I HAD ASSIGNED FROM BULAWAYO ON THE 18/10/01. THE ARRIVAL OF THE EQUIPMENT AND ITS INSTALLATION MARKED A NEW CHARPTER IN HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL AND THE COMMUNITTY. I ARRIVED ON THE 23/10/01 AND FOUND FIVE STAFF MEMBERS UNDERGOING A COURSE ON OPERATIONS OF THE CENTRE UNDER MR WAGNER WHO HAS ADAPTED QUICKLY TO OUR HOT CLIMATE. IT IS INDEED A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE TO FIND SUCH A SMOOTH FLOW OF SUCH A PROJECT OF THIS MAGNITUDE. A WONDERFUL AVENUE OF INFORMATION FLOW AND CULTURAL EXCHANGE HAS INDEED BEEN CREATED IN THE VALLEY. Dear Peter Kuthan + AZFA ! Thank you very much for your wonderfull support to the success of this first phase. I took Mr Carsten Wagner to Siachilaba and saw the classroom earmarked for second phase of this programme. The area on eletricity is the one that shall need a lot of money but it is not an impossible task, we shall give what we can to see the centre opened. We are looking foreward to the great day of commissioning the center mid FEBRUARY 2002 ! we shall soon give you a specific date and time for the function. We are still making consultations with stake holders who are excited on this new development. The second phone line is not distant; the responsible authority is digitalising to give more lines to the center. They indicated to me that the whole process will not stretch beyond three weeks. I have written to our Regional office on the issue of teachers and I was advised that as soon as the line has been given it shall be almost automatic that a teacher shall be assigned to our station. best regards from S NCUBE Headmaster Binga Highschool
