Concurrent with the Stakeholder Workshops and ICT4D Seminar another capacity building exercise and skills training was held at Binga ITC / Twiimbilane Studio in cooperation with HIVOS, AZFA and Kunzwana Trust. The Austrian composer Klaus Hollinetz, assisted by Keith Goddard and local facilitator Sengamo Ndlovu was addressing participants who were drawn from Binga High School, Pashu Primary School, Choma Museum in Zambia and Twiimbilane studio.

New equipment that empowered the workshop was introduced to the studio. AZFA brought in a donation of an electric guitar from Windhund musician Karl Ritter and 3 mikes, 2 stands, a sound mixer, CDs, cables and 5 computers that work with the new Open Source Software Ubuntu Linux and some other soft ware for the ITCs, Studio and the Office.

The music workshop covered analog vs stereo music, using a mixer, overdubbing, editing, mastering as well as preparing recorded music for the internet. A presentation was made for Binga stakeholders who highly commended the developments of Twiimbilane Studio.

The main goals of Twiimbilane studio were also outlined as being:

1. The preservation of the Tonga musical heritage.

2. Give the local people an opportunity to explore new musical avenues as well as to give upcoming artists an opportunity to utilize their talents and become part of the National and International family of musicians, while at the same time improving their standard of living through capacity building.
