"For the Tonga people like me, there is something deeply biblical about the word MULONGA, yet it is a modern story too. One of massive but unshared technology. One of plentiful water but perpetual drought."

On 19th July, our exhibition "one man - one note" ReCalling Siachilaba at Kunsthaus Deutschvilla in Strobl / Wolfgangsee was concluded with an inspiring finissage concert by Fadi Dorninger (Simonga-Maliko Parade Linz09 Remix), Otto Lechner, Toni Burger, Karl Ritter (Windhund goes Zimbabwe revival) and by our special guest from Zimbabwe Hope Masike, who has been featured again in Werner Puntigam's mbirations with Klaus Hollinetz. The concert and the exhibition as such met an excited response and applause. Visitors contributed 1652 Euro to ongoing projects in Siachilaba (womens foto studio) and Sinazongwe (Zongwe FM radio). Thank you all for your contributions, especially the artists and for your support. Twalumba!

Meanwhile the set of Ngoma Buntibe drums hailing from Siachilaba and part of the exhibition took off for the next step along the "journey of the big drum". Together with a pair of Nyele horns and a traditional mbira they are now on loan to the Museum for musical instruments / Musikinstrumentenmuseum in St. Gilgen / Wolfgangsee to make them further accessible for the general public and to carry on telling stories. A visit to this museum is highly recommended since it displays more than 4000 different musical instruments from all over the world. The curator in charge, Mr Askold zur Eck is very welcoming and able to play at least 1500 of them. He has started already to practice on Nyele horns and mbira, so check it out! contact: http://wolfgangsee.salzkammergut.at/oesterreich/poi/400610/musikinstrumenten-museum-der-voelker.html?h=972
