Arterial Network is pleased to announce and invite you to, the launch of five of our publications on Wednesday 27 April 2011 to coincide with the Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA). The launch will take place at the Poetry Cafe within the Global Quarter venue of HIFA (Harare) from 12:00 to 13:00.

The five publications to be launched are:

1.Advocacy and Networking Toolkit:

A toolkit on Advocacy and Networking was compiled from the learnings garnered from the last two Arterial Network Winter Schools held in Cape Town (2009) and Cameroon (2010). See www.arterialnetwork.org (Projects for more information about these winter schools). It is supported by HIVOS, EU and DOEN Foundation.

2.Fundraising Toolkit:
This is an easy to use guide published with the kind support of the DOEN Foundation and Mimeta.

3.African Directory on Arts and Culture Information:

A directory on African Arts, Culture and Heritage information based largely on www.artsinafrica.com website has been published. This publication is currently being supported by HIVOS, EU , Mimeta and Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

4.Adapting the Wheel: Cultural Policies for Africa:

This book was published by Arterial Network in partnership with the Commonwealth Foundation and DOEN Foundation. This publication, driven by Arterial Network Task Team, is a generic cultural policy which aims to strengthen support for the cultural sector in Africa.

5.Contemporary Arts and Culture Discourse: African Perspectives:

A compilation of seminar papers on cultural policy commissioned by the Arterial Network in 2010 and is supported by DOEN Foundation.

These publications will be available for sale as well. If you are interested in attending this launch kindly RSVP to florence@arterialnetwork.org by 19 April 2011. Only those people who would have confirmed attendance will be allowed into the venue.
